Optics in Art

What inspired me to produce a catalogue on this particular artist was his scientific understanding of optics and the role that lasers play in creating colorful arrays of repeating lines and shapes. Much of his work involves projecting designs onto buildings. The artist is looking at the theoretical concept of the photon and alluding to the cosmological role that it plays in the universe by making statements about particles and the unifying concepts involved with string theory.
