As a visual thinker, I am motivated to push beyond the boundaries of graphic design by trying new and unique methods of producing my work. I have always been inspired to work with the materials and objects in front of me to create new and inspirational pieces. Since I was very young, I used to tinker with anything I could get my hands on. This interest has inspired me to create pieces that extend beyond the traditional sense of graphic design. I have always thought of myself as a person that thinks in 3-dimensions. I also aspire to create work that uses the flatness of the picture plane in ways that allude to the space within it. My focus is to continue to explore how design interacts with people and how this interaction changes the function and appearance of the design. Some of my designs focus on the energetic play between shapes and the dynamic interplay of these forms in space. This interest in space and the interaction with the viewer is the reason I design. I want to continue to explore how design and people interact. At the center of every design is an interest in creating visual excitement. The challenge as a designer is to continue to push the envelope on what is possible, and to give the viewer something they will remember.
